Service Description

White women looking for a community of learning and growth sparked by the stories and voices of Black women * More than a book club, I usher women along in their journeys to racial justice throughBlack femme experiences and circle work Dr. Raedell has spent years teaching and facilitating groups of all sizes, ages, and learning needs. She is now channeling that energy into Clubs, with a specific focus on justice and equity for each Club. Each Club is a 2-3 months virtual community experience, led primarily through a text. But the fun and learning and personal growth do not stop there. Dr. Raedell is a wiz at curating engaging experiences that push and support you to take the words and ideas of a text and bring them to (your) life, off the page. RAEDELL My personal and professional mission is to infuse the power of storytelling to interrogate and undo racism and all forms of oppression...without and within. I started my career as a elementary teacher and now serve as a teacher educator and Liberation (life) Doula (coach). I work with groups and individuals who are ready to go through the birthing process of envisioning and embracing their true liberated selves. The question I like to pose to clients I coach is, who would you be if racism, sexism, ableism capitalism, and all the other isms didn’t tell you who to be? This is what we will explore in either group or individual work with me. I have served as a guest speaker for many types of audiences (Teach For America, Blackburn College, Women in Public Finance) and designed learning opportunities for a variety of groups/teams (WSASCD, University of Washington, Renton School District, Alliance for Education). I am gifted at curating relevant, engaging experiences that push, support, and prompt creative and responsive approaches to living life liberated.
